How I Got to be Thirty, Awkward, and Surviving
Honestly, the awkwardness just comes naturally. I am lucky that way.
The first dad joke I remember was when I was 3 years old. My parents went out and my Nana and Pop-pop were babysitting. The front door opened and my Pop-pop came over, patted me on the back and said “Guess who’s back?“ I was so exited I ran to the front door to greet my parents and no one was there. Pop-pop turned to laugh at me and said, “No, it was your back.“
That is when I knew, dad jokes were passion. I only later learned they were not that cool.
